Compliant Aluminium Pool Fencing

The Site Challenge

The existing pool fence used gate hardware that no longer met current Building Act pool-fencing requirements, and the client wanted a low-maintenance finish that wouldn't need repainting.

Materials Used

• Powder-coated aluminium panels
• Self-closing, self-latching pool gate
• Aluminium posts

Work Completed

Removed the non-compliant fencing and gate, then installed a powder-coated aluminium system built to current pool-fencing height, gap and gate-hardware standards, finished to match the home's exterior colour scheme.

Maintenance Recommendation

Aluminium needs no painting — an occasional rinse to clear salt air residue and a yearly check of the gate's self-closing hinge and latch is all that's required.
